Module: 1
Guruprasad Rao is a technocrat, Director and Mentor at Imaginarium India Pvt. Ltd, Asia’s largest 3D printing company. He takes us back to the history of crafting and walks us through the journey of Industrial Revolution to Digital Revolution. The human endeavour to engage in creative activities which led to the rise of crafts like pottery and handicrafts is explained. Due to the rise in population, these hands were replaced by machines and technology. Humans kept evolving in ways to make life easy and convenient for themselves.

Designing is a process of externalising ideas. This process is vital in order to communicate or propose your ideas to potential clients, investors or colleagues. Mr. Rao explains the NPD (New Product Design) Model, stressing on the importance of testing and revising your design. The idea is to create an economical framework for your design/ idea.
